The movie tells the story of a concert held by a Japanese singer in southern Taiwan. The warm-up band before the show consists of several ordinary locals, and the lead singer of the warm-up band, Aja, encounters various difficulties during practice and becomes angry with the Japanese concert supervisor, Tomoko, who sleeps with him, and then Aja finally shows his style at the concert, and at the same time asks to develop a long-lasting relationship with Tomoko.

The movie is also interspersed with a love letter story from 60 years ago, which intertwines the past and present, Taiwan and Japan, love and friendship, adding depth and infectiousness to the movie, and showing the deep historical feelings and attachments between Taiwanese and Japanese.

In Hengchun, a beautiful town by the sea, Aga (Fan Yichen), a young man whose musical dream has suffered a blow in Taipei, watches everything with a cold eye.

Although he has become a substitute letter carrier with the help of his stepfather, the chairman of the Democratic Party, he has letters and packets stacked up in his room, and instead of returning an undeliverable packet from Japan as instructed by the veteran letter carrier, Uncle Mao (Lin Tsung-jen), he opens it and looks at it: inside, apart from a yellowed photo of a young girl, are several letters written 60 years ago.

When Japan was defeated in World War II, a Japanese teacher in Taiwan (Nakakosuke) abandoned his girlfriend, who had eloped with him, when he retreated with the Japanese army. On his way back to Japan, he put his love and remorse into words, but the letters were not sent by his daughter until she died.

Tomoko (Chie Tanaka), a Japanese girl studying and working in Taiwan, wants to become a model, but her image is considered outdated and she has to work as a publicist for the performance of the Japanese super “healing singer” Nakahyosuke (Nakahyosuke) in Hengchun.

Tomoko originally contacted a Japanese orchestra to warm up the stage before Nakahyosuke’s performance, but Minyo insisted on using a local orchestra, leaving Tomoko with no choice but to join a group of local music lovers, including Aga, whose ages, jobs, and personalities are all very different – due to an accident…
