Europe and America

golden sands of blood

Adapted from the 1927 novel of the same name by B. Traven, the movie tells the story of two penniless Americans who come to Mexico in the 1920s to partner with their predecessors in the gold rush.

When the three strangers finally find real gold, everything begins to change quietly. Their relationships, their values, and their morals are all put to the test of human nature at this moment. This is not just a simple gold rush story, but a profound allegory about desire, greed, and the dark side of human nature, revealing the selfishness, greed, and heartlessness that people may display when faced with great benefits.
