The movie tells a beautiful love story, living in Kobe, Watanabe Hiroko attended the anniversary of her fiancé’s Fujii Itsuki’s wedding, can not help but pick up a pen, to Fujii Itsuki’s middle school lived in Otaru’s address to send a letter, but the letter and fiancé and the same name, and is also the middle school classmate of the female Fujii Itsuki received the letter.
Out of curiosity, Watanabe Hiroko asks the female Fujii Itsuki about their first love, but discovers that they look exactly the same, and that she is a replacement for the female Fujii Itsuki, and that the male Fujii Itsuki had a crush on the female Fujii Itsuki in junior high school, which she never knew about.

On a snowy winter day in Kobe, Japan, Watanabe Hiroko (Nakayama Miho) is once again overwhelmed with grief at the second anniversary of her ex-fiancé Fujii Itsuki’s death.
Unable to stop thinking about her deceased lover, Watanabe Hiroko finds Fujii Itsuki’s Otaru address in her high school yearbook and sends what she thinks is a love letter to heaven.
Soon after, Watanabe Hiroko receives a letter signed “Fujii Itsuki (Sakai Miki)”, and upon further investigation, she learns that this Fujii Itsuki is a girl of her age, and that her boyfriend, Fujii Itsuki (Kashiwabara Takashi), was in the same class when she was a teenager.
In order to learn more about her former lover’s middle school years, Watanabe Hiroko begins to correspond with Fujii Itsuki.
As Fujii Itsuki continues to reminisce, she gradually realizes that the Fujii Itsuki with whom she shared the same name when she was a teenager had hidden a soft spot for her.
