In the early years of the Republic of China, Chen Zhi, the only heir to the southern style of Wing Chun, came to Tianjin with the intention of opening a martial arts school. Out of the nineteen martial arts schools in Tianjin, only those who had kicked eight schools were eligible to open a school, but those who kicked the schools would be expelled from Tianjin, so Chen Zhi recruited a local youth, Geng Liangchen, as an apprentice, and gradually developed a master-pupil relationship.
Geng Liangchen kicks the eight martial arts halls, but suffers from a scheme and is killed. Seeing that his beloved disciple has been killed, Chen Zhi wants to take revenge, and although he kills his enemy, Deputy Officer Lin, he is also framed by the scheming big sister of the martial arts firm in Tianjin, and has to flee back to Guangdong.
