The movie tells the story of the legendary showdown between the Ford Motor Company and the Ferrari racing team on the racetrack in the 1960s, set against the backdrop of real historical events.
The movie centers on race car designer Carroll Shelby and driver Ken Miles. Shelby is a famous American race car driver and car designer, while Miles is a British race car driver and mechanic. In order to break Ferrari’s dominance in Le Mans, Ford invited Shelby and Miles to join hands to build a race car that could beat Ferrari.
Through a series of exciting racing scenes and behind-the-scenes stories, the movie shows how they overcame many obstacles, continuously improved their racing techniques, and finally achieved a brilliant victory in the 1966 Le Mans race.

Eventually the Ford GT40 managed to beat Ferrari in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and went on to win the title in 1967 and 1968.
