Based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Gormac McCarthy, the movie tells the story of a hunter who finds several corpses, packages of heroin and two million dollars in cash while hunting antelope in a desolate area of West Texas in July 1980. The hunter decides to keep the drugs and cash for himself, but he is pursued by a psychopathic, cold-blooded killer, and falls into a perilous situation of escape.

In rural Texas, Moss (Josh Brolin), an aging cowboy, is hunting antelope when he discovers several corpses, bags of heroin and $2 million in cash.
Moss decides to take the drugs and cash for himself in an attempt to change his life, but he is stalked and hunted by a cold-blooded killer, Chigurh (Javier Bardem), and is put on the run.
Meanwhile, local sheriff Bell (Tommy Lee Jones) is investigating the string of killings and trying to keep Moss safe.
However, to Bell’s impotent despair, he is unable to track down the cold-blooded killer despite all his efforts, and Moss’s life is seriously threatened. Bell remembers the glory days of his fathers while deeply feeling the reality of the sadness of old age and lack of support.
