The movie is based on two novels by Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland and Alice’s Adventures in the Mirror, but the plot is significantly different from the novels. In the original novels, Alice is a young girl who experiences a series of outrageous adventures in Dreamland, while in the movie, Alice has grown up and returns once again to this dreamlike Wonderland she visited in her childhood, which has been Ruled by the tyranny of the Red Queen, Alice must find her courage and work with her companions to overthrow the Red Queen and restore peace to the White Queen.
