The movie is adapted from Qiu Ruolong’s comic book “The Fog Society Incident”, which tells the story of “The Fog Society Incident”, one of the most intense armed anti-Japanese actions during the Japanese rule in Taiwan in 1930, in which the leader of the Sedek tribe, Mona Rudao, led more than 300 warriors of his tribe to fight against the Japanese 3,000-strong Japanese army.

The “Kirisha Incident” was triggered by a small incident in which Monarudo’s eldest son was refused a toast by a Japanese inspector who was passing by during a local wedding banquet, leading to a fight.
During a field day at the Mushi She Public School, the Sedeks attack, killing 134 Japanese in the melee. Afterwards, they retreat into the mountains, taking advantage of the cliffs and walls to engage in a guerrilla war with the Japanese, who send in a large army to suppress them, and in the end, Mona Ludo’s resistance army is wiped out.
