Wong Fei Hung No.2: A Man’s Manhood

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, on the eve of the Guangzhou Uprising, Wong Fei-hung was invited by the International Medical Association to travel to Guangzhou with Leung Foon and Siu Kwan to settle a dispute with the White Lotus Sect and to meet Sun Wen and Lu Haodong.

The White Lotus Sect, the predecessor of the Boxer Rebellion, was crazy, pretending to be gods and goddesses, killing innocents indiscriminately and promoting the idea that “divine power protects the body and is invulnerable to swords and spears”, and burned down the Western School. The content of the movie is fictional, the real Wong Fei-hung had no relationship with the revolutionary party, and did not know Sun Yat-sen, Lu Haodong and others.

At a medical conference, Wong Fei-hung meets Sun Wen (Zhang Tie Lin), the leader of the revolutionary party, and when he realizes that the revolutionaries are more far-sighted about saving the country, he decides to help the revolutionaries escape from their fate.

Subsequently, he defeats the White Lotus Sect’s headquarter and exposes its superstitions, and fights Nalan Yuanshu to the death as he laments the decline of the country’s fortunes and the end of the people’s wisdom.
