The movie tells the story of Jing Ke (荆轲) who traveled to Qin to assassinate King Ying Zheng (嬴政), the king of Qin, with a map of Yan Dugong (燕督亢) and the head of Fan Yuqi (樊于期).
When Jing Ke offered the map to the King of Qin, he was able to make the most of it, but in the end, the assassination failed and Jing Ke was killed by the King of Qin.
The story is also about Jing Ke’s assassination of the King of Qin, which is better than Zhang Yimou’s “Hero”, but the shortcomings are that the costumes, makeup and props are a bit insufficient, and the actors’ performances sometimes seem to be over-exerted.
