The movie tells the story of a young, unruly naval pilot, Maverick, who is selected to join the U.S. Navy’s top flight training unit, the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (Topgun), to undergo rigorous training because of his excellent flying skills, and in the flight school, Maverick develops a romantic relationship with the school’s female instructor.
However, in a flight training, because of a chance accident, Maverick’s partner was accidentally killed, resulting in Maverick suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Maverick a few times down, finally rise up, and finally in a life-and-death mission, proved his courage and strength.
