When Lao Gu (Gu Baoming) leads the police to break up a den of thieves, the only girl who jumped out of the window to escape, Shuan, suffers a broken leg and is taken to the hospital by a passing boy, Xiao Qiang.
Shuan returns home and is locked up by her mother. When she is bored, she makes prank phone calls around, one of which is to a woman named Zhou Yufang (Miao Qianren), who pretends to be Zhou’s husband’s girlfriend outside the family, who is pregnant and wants her to come out to negotiate.
