The movie is adapted from Schaeffer’s 1979 stage play “Mozart’s Biography”, which describes the legendary life of the musical genius Mozart.
In 1781, the young Mozart came to Vienna, Austria, the so-called “music capital of the world”. Mozart’s musical talent was appreciated by the Austrian Emperor, but was envied by Antonio Salieri, the court composer, who was a simple and lonely musical genius, and was not wary of his peers, who were jealous of his talent. Mozart, a simple and arrogant musical genius, was unsuspecting of his jealous peer, even his own maid was Salieri’s secretly placed in his side of the eyes and ears, and eventually Mozart was killed by the villain and died at the age of only 35 years old.
The movie successfully presents the two complex characters of Mozart and Salieri in front of the audience. Although Mozart was brilliant, he was a man of temperament, unrestrained, with no lack of frivolity and conceit in his character, while Salieri, although conscientious, was mediocre in talent, and his jealousy of Mozart ultimately led to his madness, and many years after Mozart’s death, Salieri, who had been locked up in an asylum, confessed to the priest who had come to visit him. He recounts his feud with Mozart and asks God to forgive him for his mediocrity.

This movie gives us the life of the genius Mozart from the point of view of a court musician, Salieri.
Salieri (F. Murray Abraham) is a famous figure in the Viennese music industry, and since he met Mozart (Tom Hulce), his jealousy has been burning in his heart.
Mozart always wins over the audience with his extraordinary musical works, and his operas such as “The Marriage of Figaro” have become classics that have been celebrated for ages.
Salieri’s envy and cynicism toward Mozart had grown to an almost twisted state.
He interfered with Mozart’s career time and time again – deliberately shortening the period of staging the opera, maliciously censoring Mozart’s works, and giving him merciless mental torture when he was suffering from the pain of losing his father.
Poor and weak Mozart in the last years of his life, wrote the last work “Requiem”, a generation of masters at the age of 35 years old died, leaving immortal works.
And Salieri, long before the fatalistic end that awaited him.
