Plot Summary:
Nicholas Anchor (Simon Pegg SimonPegg) works as a senior patrol officer in London, where catching thieves and solving crimes seems to be his greatest pleasure.
For this reason he has become the most dedicated and capable officer in the police department.
However, this attracts the jealousy of the sheriff, and poor Nicholas is transferred to a remote and calm town as a police officer.
The town hasn’t had a bad crime in decades.
Nicholas is depressed and feels that there is no room for him to show off his skills as a burglar.
To add to his troubles, Danny Bateman (Nick Frost), the son of the town’s police chief, comes along to be his partner.
This new partner is troublesome to the core and spends his days inquiring about the experiences of police officers in the big city.
While Nicholas is annoyed with the town’s cockamamie business and the benzene partner at his side, a case occurs in town that gives Nicholas a whiff of an opportunity to make a big splash, and the thrilling battle begins.
