The plot takes place after episode 4, when Dominic is sentenced to 25 years in prison and is escaped by Brian, his sister Mia and others in a sports car hijacking on the way to prison, the trio flee to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to try to start a new life.
In Rio de Janeiro, they take on an assignment to help steal some luxury sports cars, only to discover that hidden in these cars is a chip that contains information about all the illegal assets of the crime boss Reyes.
They set up a team and plan to rob Reyes of all his illegal funds. In the end, Dominic and his team succeed in carrying out the heist, obtaining a huge fortune and deciding to go their separate ways again to continue their life on the run.

Plot Synopsis:
After 2 years of hibernation, Dom (Van Diesel VinDiesel) and Brian (Paul `Walker PaulWalker) team up again to steal the mysterious limousine from the train, and are pursued by a firebrand of police and gangsters.
Brian and Mia (Jordana Brewster) travel to Rio to find reinforcements and rendezvous with Dom.
In an effort to find out what happened to Dom and the others, ace FBI agent Luke (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) steps up to the plate and forms an elite unit to track down to Rio.
He hires beautiful widowed policewoman Elena (Elsa `Pataky) to join him in the search for Dom.
At the same time, Rio’s landlords open fire on the uninvited guests, and the three forces begin to tangle with each other.
During this time, Brian decides to accompany Mia on her escape due to her pregnancy, so Dom has to rely on his former friend to discover the secret of the new car.
